4 Parts (Google Doc, Google Table, Google Sheet, Prezi)
Component Overview Doc:
- Connect to the first link above and read about the different components of a PC
- Use any other site that will help you DEFINE and DESCRIBE each component.
- Create A Google Doc (in your ACAD5 / Build a PC / folder) and name it "PC Components Overview"
- Define and describe the purpose of: 1. RAM, 2. CPU, 3. graphics card, 4. mother board, 5. storage,
- 6. case, 7. fan PSU (Power Supply)
- Use any site to help you define and describe the components.
Google Doc Table:
- You might want to create an account on - pcpartpicker.com (not required, but may help you compile a list of components)
- Research components and parts needed to build your own PC (use links above or other sites you find helpful).
- Research different brands and models of each component you will need.
- Decide on specific brands and models for each component.
- Create a Google Document (format as LANDSCAPE) to keep all your information together (all the component info & Pictures will be used in Excel & Prezi later)
- Name the Google Document - "PC Components Table"
- Google Doc will contain a TABLE with these 5 columns: 1. Item, 2. Brand, 3. Model # ,, 4 Price, and 5. Picture of each component.
Google Sheet
- Create an Spreadsheet listing the components, the model, brand, & price of each needed component. (see example spreadsheet below)
- Name the Google Sheet - "PC Component Sheet"
- Create a Pie Chart that shows the component names and prices. (as shown below)
- Title the Chart, and label the pie segments.
Prezi
- Create a Prezi on Prezi.com that shows all the components. (Example: https://prezi.com/-rk4ci8mxjiz/extras/
- Include all info from spreadsheet and pictures of specific parts.
- Include the Pie Chart and Spreadsheet in your Prezi (use SnipIt Tool)
- Add Background Music (any music from Mrs. Barry's Music folder)
- Share your Prezi with one other student in the class
